Jeigu pamiršote pasiimti smulkių, nuo šiol už važiavimą autobusu galite mokėti ir SMS. O jeigu pakliuvote gyventi į provinciją, kur net autobusai neužsuka, tokį galėsite išsikviesti:
"The Ville de Luxembourg has announced an extension of its SMS-payments project for city traffic. Currently drivers can pay for the excat duration of their parking, rather than pay too much or alternatively pay too little (or nothing at all) and risk getting parking tickets.
The new service allows bus travellers to purchase bus tickets by SMS - the service is called SMS-4-ticket - using the number 64222, starting with the letter "A". A 2-hour ticket costs 1.50 euros. This new service starts this Saturday, 15 September and does not require prior registration. Pre-paid cards will be debited and subscribers will see the charge in thei next phone bill.
Another announcement yesterday concerned a new on-demand bus service (Call-a-Bus) linking communes outside the city of Luxembourg. People requesting this service can telephone 4796-4796 for a bus to colelct them and bring them to another commune, for a price of 5 euros, without requiring a trip in and out of the city. The bus will stop at a designated bus stop withing 45 minutes and operates between 9am and 8pm.
The announcements come in advance of the Semaine de la Mobilité starting on Sunday.
And two new shuttle services were also announced for the Semaine de la Mobilité, with the Gare linking Luxembourg-city, and the Parking Bouillon linking Kirchberg, with buses scheduled to run every 12 minutes."
