Bacterial analyses of samples of butter taken from the Lidl chain of stores has revealed that butter sold under the name Echte Boter, beurre traditionel and beurre traditionnel demi-sel, contain harmful bacteia and may present an health risk. Those concerned are sold in bricks of 250g, from Belgium, and manufactured by Sofra. The sell by date is 15.11.06, batch numbers are 25001:08 and 25012:38. It is strongly advised not to eat them.
