The film crew interviewed in excess of 20 experts and victims of Soviet crimes - historians, members of the European Parliament, a Soviet Secret agent, a Soviet military intelligence colonel, Soviet dissidents, GULAG inmates, as well as victims of the Famine-Genocide, deportations and of other Soviet crimes. ”The Soviet Story” features leading Western historians Norman Davies, Nicolas Werth and Françoise Thom as well as renowned Professors of History from Russia - Natalia Lebedeva, Sergey Slutch and Boris Sokolov. Edvins Snore is both the scriptwriter and director of the film, which is his debut feature documentary. He started the research while an MBA student of Political Science. As a result, “The Soviet Story” presents a truly unique insight into dark episodes of Soviet History. N.B.
