Dear ladies and gentlemen!

On behalf of Dr Laima Liucija Andrikienė, Member of the European Court of Auditors, and the Lithuanian Community in Luxembourg, we cordially invite you to celebrate together the 20th anniversary of Lithuania's accession to the European Union!

On this occasion, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Simonas Kairys, and the Lithuanian State Choir Vilnius, whose performances always attract a large number of choral music lovers, will visit Luxembourg. For many years, choir Vilnius is a host of the annual International Music Festival of St James held every autumn in Vilnius (http://en.chorasvilnius.lt/).

This important date for us will be celebrated in Luxembourg from 29 April to 1 May with events where everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring their families and friends:

29 April, 18:00-19:00 - Vilnius State Choir concert at St. Michael's Church, before that - Prayer for Lithuania (priest prof. Saulius Stumbra and priest of St. Michael's Church). Minister Simonas Kairys will participate and speak, the Spanish ambassador in Luxembourg will welcome.

1 May 17:00-19:00 Celebration of the 20th anniversary of Lithuania's EU membership at the Tramsschapp Cultural Centre. Welcoming speeches and a concert of the Vilnius State Choir (with a different programme than the one that will be performed in the church) followed by reception.

In addition, the Art Gallery of the European Court of Auditors will host an exhibition of photographs by the talented Lithuanian photographer Saulius Paukštys "Kaleidoscopes of Vilnius" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Lithuania's EU membership. The art exhibition will be open from 30 April to 15 July (contact aldona.dregvaite@eca.europa.eu).

Admission to Vilnius Choir concerts is free. However, please register for the May 1st event by e-mail aldona.dregvaite@eca.europa.eu until 26th April. Please indicate number of adults and kids.
